“If it doesn’t matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score?”

THE PACKERS WIN!!!!!!!!!
SUPER BOWL XLV CHAMPS

“Winning is not a sometime thing…it’s an all the time thing. You don’t win once in a while…you don’t do the right thing once in a while…you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit.”   ~ Oh Vince :)

That is what I am talking about!! Before I continue on my ramble of how freakin awesome the Pack is.. I should probably talk about my Thursday night and weekend  in Daun with Beth and her Grandma's Cousins.

THURSDAY NIGHT - Schwarz Weiss & Unix
It was quite a night if I do say so myself.  It was spent with good friends and good music for the most part.
We went to Schwarz Weiss and hung out until around 12 then we were off to hit the club. It was Steph, Beth, Sarina, and I.  The four of us made it to Rudolphsplatz.. but some of us were hunry so we hit up Sofra Doener for Fries and Klein Doeners.. soo good :) yummmmm.. Then off to Unix.. it was especially steep entrance fee for some odd reason, but we went anyways... we danced for a couple of hours then called it a night seeing as some of us had to stuff to do the next day that could not be put off!! All in all a fun night, but we deff need to explore some other clubs in Marburg- that is our future goal!

DAUN
Well Friday I met up with Beth at the Hauptbahnhof at around 10:30 where we then caught our train to Frankfurt and then from franfurkt the S-bahn to Mainz then a train to koblenz then a car to DAUN.  What a beautiful day to travel.. and guess what it was like 40 degrees!!!!
So that night we just well talked German - I once again discovered that my german is not horrible as I horrible as I seem to think it is.  When will I get confident.... the world may never know lol  Anyways we talked for a while then they showed us where we were staying, granted Beth already knew she has been there before like 3 times, she just brought me along this time - Here are some pics of the room :

It was a Great time - Then later what we had for dinner well that was amazing too, let me just tell you I CAN NOT wait for home cooked meals.... feast set for kings! but before dinner beth and I went on a walk of Daun - pretty small but cool nonetheless - here are some photos!!

It was Roast Beef and Broth was made into a soup with noodles and we had these amazing cooked carrots SARA I thought of you immediately... I don't know if you still like them, but I loved them :) I could not stop eating them.... There were also these apple slices of the best tasting apples I have had in a long time.  We also had some Wine and then later some Sekt to top it off, it wasn't that bad tasting actually I rather enjoyed it :)Then we played a game called mueller it is quite fun I have actually played it before, but they were to good.  Then we had an amazing Strawberry Sundae! I was craving Ice Cream and it was just perfect! Then off to bed early for once for me, I think it was around 11 by the time my eyes decided to stay shut.
Then the next morning we had a typical German breakfast- rolls cheese meat nutella... haha for Beth of course. Then we planned our day we were going to Trier but with a couple of different stops on the way, first stop the Volcanic Lakes - beautiful Beth was going crazy b/c it was WATER!! lol shes misses her MN lakes

Then our next stop was another German city Bernkastel.  I think that is the full name, it was really cool and apparently when it rains or when it snows and then it melts this town is notorious for having floods and high levels of water.   It was a pretty cool City to say the least.

Then it was to Trier!  The oldest city in Germany... one of the places I wanted to go seeing as it was recommended by Rick Steve's travel book - what a great opportunity I had no idea we were going to go there until well we went there haha :) It was awesome.

There probably would have been more pictures if my camera would not have been dying the entire time.. My fault for not bringing my Charger or not Charging it before I left.  They also took some pictures but Beth has them so MB later I will update with some new ones :)  We shall see....But one last thing that was awesome not about the city but about the parking garage was the way they indicated which stalls were open and which ones were occupied - there was a lighting system on the ceiling, I was fascinated by it so of course I took pictures haha - Enjoy!!

Yes that was day at Trier then we drove back to Daun and relaxed for awhile then had yet another amazing dinner with Roast Beef again and some sauces and then noodles and Italian Carbonara Sauce we have the recipe written down somewhere lol and also more Wine, but no sekt this time lol.. and of course ICE CREAM lol It has been a long time seeing as I do not have a freezer but i think it tastes better when you have not had it for a while - so all is well!! Then again bed early and in the morning a German breakfast and off to the trainstation and back to Marburg to prepare for SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!!!!!!!!! <3

MARBURG/MEXICALI
We made it back to Marburg at about 3/4ish so not to bad..... initially we both thought we were going to take a nap before our adventurous night.. ahaha how were we kidding.- well I should say who was I kidding- there was no way I was going to be able to sleep when the biggest game in a long time in packers history was going to be played that night, I was pumped!
I unpacked some of my things and then just paced and waited for the game or the time to leave to get to the bar... I think I signed in and out of Facebook about a hundred bazillion times just trying to kill sometime - thank goodness some ppl were online to keep me from going crazy.  Then finally 10:40 rolled around and I made my way out to the bus stop only to run into fellow pack supporters on our way to Mexicali where they were streaming the game from ESPN live!!!! I had a mexican buffet at my disposal it was super good :)  and then in light of the packer super bowl game I bought a beer something I normally don't do but I felt that the occasion was necessary!  So Then I was totally ready I had a perfect view of the screen and a fellow die hard to my left (steph, born and raised in Green bay)  we were both pretty much shaking with anticipation and excitement!!!

 Beth was cheering for the Steelers since her vikings were no where to be found.. lol : P  That first Quarter was amazing!! Steph and I were screaming loud and proud and just kept talking about how amazing this is and how everyone is probably going crazy!! It continued into the 2nd Quarter :}

Half time was the Black Eyed Peas - Interesting not that great, but our half time show was amazing - Becca had made a friend and he wanted to dance with her soon others joined in on the fun, I just watched waiting for the game to get started again! :) it was Rather amusing!!!!

After an amusing half time we were totally ready for another rockin' half.. Unfortunately when I say Rockin' I mean smooth sailing except well.. it was a bit Rocky.  Steph and I were deff sittin' on the edge of our seats, when the pack was havin' trouble catchin' the ball.... but we deff has some great quotes of the night - we had our friends laughing and just having a blast by watching us react to every play.    When the 2:00min warning came we were at full attention - as the game clock wound down and the Steelers had the ball and it was 4th and 5... Steph prays and I am just staring and clinching the table saying BIG STOP - if you stop them here you won - come on Don Cappers - show us what you got!! and then Roethlisberger drops back into the pocket lofts the ball to Wallace and does he catch it NO!!!! THE PACKERS ARE THE SUPERBOWL XLV CHAMPIONS!!!!  Now all they had to do was down the ball - its been 13  years since the trophy has made it back to title town and gosh by golly it is about time!! This is a super bowl I will never forget - the place erupted with shouts and screams and I think I almost knocked the table over, I almost saw a tear in Steph's eye... It was a great game!!

GO  PACK GO!!!!

The rest of the night consisted of overflowing emotion and walking home and waiting for the first bus and arriving back in my room around 6 lol :)

TODAY
was great  I slept til 2:30 and woke up to the greatest day to be a packer fan@!!!! :]   Called my parents talked to them and hopefully will skype with them later and then I went out to dinner for auflauf at early bistro with everyone who is still here from the IUSP fall group- guess what there is a whopping 7 of us!  It is crazy more people are returning within the next two weeks and then the newbies come on the 23rd. Time is flying by.  This week I just have some loose ends to tie up and then next week its off to the west coast Portugal here we come, but for now I'm just living the life being a packer fan!
