Chido and the Rest of Lisbon!

so here are the pictures I attempted to post on the last one .. stupid internet :P

well as continued after our tour we ate a bag of chips because we were hungry and then we waited for the hostel dinner.- Bean soup.  Sounds good right?? Well it was interesting to say the least - The Dinner was 8 euros and consisted of soup, the main meal, dessert and 3 free drinks - of course we had to try Sangria one of the famous drinks to drink in western Europe and commonly loved by all - it was not to bad.

After dinner we had the free shot on the house at 11:30 and then later after that someone was going to do a tequila shot... and im like umm no.. never had one... note to self don't say that if you really don't want one.. people will offer to buy you one - well in this case I got one on the house - it was interesting.. ekk lol not the most horrible thing I have ever tasted tho.  From there the night just got more fun, lol not just becuase of the alcohol influence but because of the people we met.  We ended up meeting quite a few, one from Switzerland, one from Indonesia, one from conneticut, two from Australia, one form England, 2 form Italy, 2 From canada.  4 from spain, 2 from Brazil - it was just a great night.  We ended up hitting Barlitta (no idea how to spell it) with some friends.  Eventurally we stumbled upon a bar that was not closed and we went in - house special for 1 euros (shots) so of course we did them - I think we had about 4 shots there and the last one was on the bar tender... it was awesome and the first 3 shots were smooth and tasted good - they were all random mixes of things - his secret he knows what tastes good - yes we did ask him lol :)
then back to the hostel to call it a night after adding everyone as fb friends at around 3:00 am.. lol or later - no clue time flies when you are having fun :P

as we continue it is our last full and final day in Portugal and so far this trip has one to remember :)  We decide to end our stay by going to one more city called Belem - as I had mentioned  this is where the pastries come from and are made the famous ones anyways.  Well we woke up had breakfast talked with Adam our British friend and then the 3 of us decided to be on our way - off to Belem.  First stop the monastery we walked around the free part and then moved on to the next part - the Tropical Gardens it had a weird way of reminding me of a combination of places but mainly Mexico and Florida, so it was nice, then we went to one of the monuments near the water and took some pictures tried not to fall in because of the wind it was really really really windy but we managed.  We were hungry so we grabbed a bite to eat and then we were off to find the tower but we were exhausted so we made one last stop at the famous cafe to have the pastry of Belem and then back to the hostel we went mainly to take a nap.  And we did, until we realized we had new roommates who were awesome - so we hung out with them then made some pasta for dinner and then were chillin around waiting for it to turn 12:00 because then it was STEPH'S 20th bday!!!
Where again we had the free 11:30 shot and then steph was off to the races everyone wanted to buy her a drink, seeing as I wasn't feeling the awesomeist lol i know thats not really a word but it works, I stuck to drinking 1,5 L of Peach Ice tea - I felt pretty cool, we had people teaching us all kinds of dances and just random dancing to bring in her birthday it was awesome, eventually tho I was tired and called it a night.

This trip was epic to say the least because of the people we met and the experience we were able to have despite the weather and dramatic experiences between breaking umbrellas and ripping open scars I will have to say it was one of my favorite trips of this whole year - I would most deff go back :)
This trip could have been a fail but we kept and open mind and let this happen and I am so glad I did!!

“I am more and more convinced that our happiness or our unhappiness depends far more on the way we meet the events of life than on the nature of those events themselves."

Our experience didn't end there then we caught the taxi and the train and we were on our way back to Marburg - which we eventually made it but then off to  Nichola's for Steph's Birthday cake it was nice.  Afterwards off to home to talk to the family and Alex then to bed... What a way to end a Vacation - to start another lol :)

Love Life even if you are under the weather it makes it all the better!!

Love you and Miss you all
