Well all of you that read my blog know that my family left on the 31st, I celebrated New years with some friends in town and then awaited for Alex to arrive here in Germany.
He flew in on the 3rd at 9:30am. I was running late.. I woke up at 6:30 to catch the 7:05 bus- which never came, so then I had to walk and walk some more.. quite quickly because my train that i wanted to take left at 7:35. Finally I got on a bus at 7:16 there was no way i was going to make the first train. So I went to the hauptbahnhof anyways and waited for the next train at 8:06. Then I made it to the main station in Frankfurt at 9:15 and the train left for the airport at 17. so I ran, but guess what I missed it so I waited until 9:32 to take the next one. And then I ran to catch the tram to go to terminal 2 D where he was flying in. I made it there at around 9:50. Lucky for me he had not walked through the doors and was not waiting, so I had made it in time. So I stood around waiting and He finally walked through the doors at 10:25 about an hour after landing. It was great! :)
Then we were off, went up and down a million escalators to catch the next tram to catch the next train to catch the bus all the way back to my place. Then he unpacked and let his family know he was alive :) All very good things - then we talked to my family on their day off :) Well sara had school but the parentals still had off, and my dad had a very bad cold still. Then we just kind of layed around made some soup, and tried to get him up to the time here in Germany and off of the USA time. We called it an early night..- haha 10pm
Then today.. we got up had some breakfast watched the rest of our movie- harry potter 1 and then got cleaned up and headed off into town! We were off to see the castle. We climbed the stairs and my nose had been bugging me, I was very congested so good thing I brought a lot of tissue along! We took some photos by the castle and then decided to walk down to the castle park that is not used very much in the winter but it was pretty :) I thought it was the prefect time to blow my nose- so I do, and I feel this sharp pain- alex asks what? Im like idk, I look at my hand, I am now holding my nose ring. I just pulled out my ring - i said. Freaking out I turn to alex and say- put it back in, I can't do it myself.. you have to do it for me..please. Alex says well I can try, so he tries and tries again, then I try again, then I feel myself getting light headed and say - If we can't get it in, I think I'm gonna faint. As I wobble back and forth I grab alexs arms. He's likeWHAT?? the next thing he knows here I am wobbling back and forth then I come back and then i wobble again and then I just go limp. Lucky for me, He was able to catch me and lay be down on the ground, where I immedately woke up to see him kneeling over me asking if i was okay and here I was laying on the snow with a huge smile on my face asking if I had passed out, according to him and he said yes and then my smile only got bigger. when i looked around I saw that he had whipped off his gloves and tried to see if I was okay. He was the hero of my day :) After I had gathered my witts, since we couldn't get the ring in ourselves we walked briskly to the piercing place. However, along the way we helped a gentleman push his car through the snow - it got stuck. Finally we made it to the piercing place and i asked with my broken german to see if she could help me, she said normally they need a receipt but today she would do it. So we went up stairs and alex followed and then she put the ring back in.. and man did it hurt. It was like breaking new skin.. ouch :( Then we started on our way back home, got some milk and hotdogs and then called it a day. We just finished watching fast and furious number 4 and ate some mac & cheese.. yumm so good :)
