Prague Vs. Germany.. and the winner is.....

GERMANY!!!
so these past couple of days I have been in Prague but let me back up and let me finish my first week of classes .. starting early Wednesday morning .... with my Reproductive Health Care Policy in the US Tutorial. I will say say that it was a great morning.. I was remembering things from my US. Law class and Women studies class that i had learned in the past that we were talking about in the tutorial.  But overall it was a pretty good class and then I was awaiting the horrible speaking test for last part of my Language class.
So i was waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting.. all for the results of the test.. and guess what I ended up getting an 82% on the writing portion 75% on the reading and 90% on the listening for an average of 82 % highest in the class so far.. but then i had to take the speaking portion.. which im slowly improving my German- anyways i got an 81 % soo overall i got an 81.5% total :) I am sooo happy.. I passed with flying colors

Then later that day was VOLLEYBALL!!!! It was great!! Chelsea, Steph and I went to the volleyball levels L1 & L2 ... it was fun.. packed full of people but fun.. and then Chelsea and I stayed for the L3.. it doesnt look like i am going to be playing for the team but i will be part of the practice squad... and so will chelsea.. it was soo much.. fun I can't wait to continue to keep playing.. I met alot of people and I ended up running into one of the guys I met the very first day on the train Mitch from Indiana.. he was playin vball too.. it was awesome:)
Then I packed for Prague.. I got up at 4:50am.. to catch the bus at 5:35am.. to catch the trains to catch our plane.. all to prague.. and i will say that when you pay for a flight you pay for a flight.. i mean it wasn't horrible but the landing was to be desired.. bumpy bumpy bumpy.. it scared Steph a little bit.  (she grabbed my hand)
anyways we arrived and it was fun.. we got a taxi to the wrong hostel but walked to the right one.. and then just walked around the city and ate some yummy dinner and called it a night .. it was a long day.. we were party poopers.. but hey what do u expect from 6 girls who had to wake up at ~5 and traveled all day :) lol.. anyways in Prague they speak Czech for those of you that don't know.. and the second language is English.. its rather funny because the entire time we were there we were trying to speak German.. it was quite a coincidence.  Also the currency in Prague is Krones.. it is varying 20-24 Euros is 1 Krone.. so it is crazy.. one of my meals cost me 330 Krones for a cheeseburger and fries and a drink.. it was CRAZY.. but on a side note.. the jewelry was amazingly beautiful and non-expensive.. it was great.. but any who.. we did that on Thursday.  Friday we just kinda walked the town hit up the shops saw the castle and then for dinner we went to the Hard Rock Cafe :) it was amazing.. they had free Refills... it was great.. i think i had more soda than i have had in the past 5 months.. in one night.. lol it was crazy.. but it was good.. lol after that we just kind of went back to the hostel and chilled..awaiting the night time.. and our hostel.. it was decent.. but really i swear.. ppl need to learn how to pick up their Frickin' suitcases when going down the stairs....they sounded like a herd of cows coming down the stairs at 5 am in the morning.. but really seriously.. how in considerate.. it was a two rough nights of sleep.. anyways.. on Saturday we got up and walked the town square......and then got the taxi.. the taxi person was.. well.. not very nice.. is the nicest way to put it.. and then we made it to the airport and then took some trains back to Marburg.. it was crazy.. but a fun weekend.. and now today i am relaxing and doin hw and chillin and I think having a group dinner..
but anyways the reason for the name of this blog.. is because I fully appreciate Germany and the German language and I am thankful for studying here and not in the Czech Republic... :) yes well steph is skyping in my room pretending she is a duck.. i must got save her.. in some way... well wish me luck :) haha
