Soo.. I just got off the computer phone with mi padre.. and he brought to my attention that I have not updated my blog.. in like FOREVER.. I apologize for all of those whose sense of adventure or survival thrives on my blog.. I was recovering from being sick and currently still am recovering and I had a bunch of stuff going on with the moving in of my roommate and classes ending this week and getting ready for new classes next week.. but anywho.. here is the update that has been long awaited for :)
Okay well Saturday the 9th.. the last time I wrote-
After my day of watching TV online I thought it was about time to get out of my 4 walled room and hit the town with my water bottle :) it was fun I went to a bar with my roommate and people from IUSP. Then we made it home while the rest of the people i was with went to the Club and danced it up ... I wish i could have went but it would not have been the smart choice
Then Sunday I woke up and walked around with Sarina to find where her classes were going to be on Monday.. not to hard.. they are in the "Big Ugly Buildings" [seriously its what they call them] next to the library. There was a Carnival going on in town and we explored that for a while.. man the Germans so know how to fly high.. There was a crazy flippy ride that went higher than any fair ride in the States that Ive seen besides the ejection seat. then she treated us to crepes with applesauce and Cinnamon and sugar... They were soo good. it hit the spot .. yummmm :) After that we meandered our way back to our lovely Flat we call a home and prepared to leave again to go to my friend Beth's kitchen for an attempt at making Auflauf.. so we rode the hour bus ride along with Paul and met some people there for some Grub.. it was a success at making Auflauf except for maybe the potatoes.. they needed to be cooked longer.. or boiled first but now we know :)
Then we returned home and turned in for the night after a long day.. and btw I was still not feeling well.. so it was early to bed.. oo wait.. I attempted to watch the packers.. however.. they lost :( ugh.. that night didn't end so positively .. major bummer. i wanted them to win! (like always) lol
Then Monday the 11th I had to wake up earlier than usual... because the stop in front of our building is closed and so is the one before that and the one before that.. soo I must walk 20 -25 minutes depending on the pace I walk.. to the Bus stop of Stadtbuero.. not to bad.. but still it can be a long walk.. Then class as usual with Maritta in the Klinikium(?) Then I spoke to my mother about my predicament with health insurance. that is a deliemma within itself.. We shall figure it out tho. one mountain at a time. On this day I also lost my voice and somewhat skipped dinner because I wasn't hungry.. but on a positive note i ran roughly 2 miles with my friend kayte and then I COULD BREATHE!! it was a great feeling .. oo the simple things in life <3
Then on Tuesday.. the 12th the normal class was moved to the Oberstadt.. (the upper city-for those who don't know German) [Its so pretty up there] I would say I wish I would have skipped this class... i was more confused than ever afterwords.. Seriously .. it messed me up.. Anywho.. after that class went to culture class to give my presentation on Frankfurt Am Main Third Reich- it went well.. then after that class i made my way to the library to study for our classes exam on Friday (tomorrow)... then I made pasta dinner not to bad.. If i would say so myself haha.. then I studied with paul and later that night skyped with Kristen and Alex.. it was nice :) Details from home.. good to keep updated
Then Wednesday.. Was class again. last day with Maritta.. it was great.. review.. I have more confidence now with that test that is tomorrow.. Yay!!! Then went to Conversation Class - We had speed dating.. it was ridiculous some guys think they are just sooo funny.. (snap snap Harold Jokes.. ) that is a different story.. for a different day.. When the update isn't so long haha :] Then after Conversation Class then we I went to a Second Hand Store with Kayte and Christina to look for some costume ideas for our American Halloween party Raphael is throwing this Friday night.. Because he has never been to one before!! It shall be fun :) Then I returned to study and grab my computer and headed over to Building 111 to study for our Culture Class exam which we had today.. with Kayte, Christina, Paul, and Mike. It went well us girls ate pizza and then all of us looked at power point slides and discussed what we thought would be on the test.. that we all took today.. Then i went back and went to bed.. Ohh I forgot to mention that my neighbor SAM is back :) he stayed here last night and he is staying here tonight. It is good to see him :) So now we are up todate.. (up todate sein) is a german phrase relating to having clothes that in style or up to date.. lol random fact but it makes me think of it everytime :) gotta love it
So today.. Thursday.. crazy day.. okay mind you I still have to walk crazy 20 minutes to the bus stop to catch the bus to the klinikium for my lovely morning class .. Well today was our last day of actual class.. WOOOHOO so we did more review then in Culture Class we had our EXAM that i have been studying for except it kicked my Ass.. pardon my french.. but really it did.. I was not expecting that to be so detailed but yet so vague.. 70 mulitiple choice questions.. not my best but hopefully I did well, there is always hope.
Then I went shopping for some necessities.. more bread and jelly and some peach tea.. which is really yummy and only cost 45 cent Euro.. so I think i found a new beverage to drink :) I am happy
For dinner tonight we had Butter Chicken courteousy of Sam and I and Sarina's dishes and utensils.. It was great it was a fun dinner that is for sure.. Now i am updating my blog and going to be studying and then just sitting here thinking about all of the things I have to do.. lol
Future Plans: Well one is the Halloween party tomorrow after my Very serious Exam of the German language.. wish me luck <3 and then on Saturday I think I am going to Frankfurt with the girls and maybe some others and we might be going to the ZOO.. how fun is that.. I can't wait :) Hopefully all goes well and then on Sunday hopefully skype with the family.. seeing as they are having the Packer Party that I wish i was attending.. to help our home team.. Beat the Dolphins this week.. but .. we have suffered some injuries.. Hopefully they can manage..
Well I hope all is well on the home front and that everyone is living life like they never believed.. I will continue my journey of living in Marburg Germany as I student.. with a very shallow pocket book and a huge limitless capability of dreams and travels.. well Good night all and wish me luck for tomorrows examination :)
